About
I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 29600) offering psychotherapy services in my private practice in Berkeley. I have lived in the east bay for many years and love being able to serve my community, doing work I find deeply fulfilling.
I graduated from the Wright Institute with a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) and studied at U.C. Berkeley beforehand.
I have trained at and continue to have ongoing collaborative relationships with many incredible community mental health clinics, pediatric offices, and medical centers across the Bay Area including the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center, The Ann Martin Center, WestCoast Children's Clinic, the Child Trauma Research Program at UCSF and the Center for Youth Wellness.
I work in an integrative manner and am informed by attachment theory, developmental theories, family systems theory, and contemporary psychodynamic theory. By integrating a variety of modalities I tailor a treatment that is specific to you, your child, or your family. I have a background in Early Childhood Education and a passion for the transformative power of play.
In addition to my private practice I’m a supervisor and faculty member at the Wright Institute, a past board chair and current member of the Alameda County Psychological Association, a mentor to adolescent boys in a rites-of-passage based program called the Stepping Stones Project, a founder and active partner in Surf Circle, a recipient of the 2019 Janet Hurwich Leadership and Advocacy Award, and the former Training Director at Through the Looking Glass, a community mental health clinic that specializes in serving families with a child or caregiver who has a disability.
